Ninja Theory's new publisher [part 4]

Posted under Ninja Theory by ninjawanda on Friday 20 February 2009 at 19:29

I emailed Atari a couple of days ago, cuz my boyfriend is positive they are the new publisher of Ninja Theory.

My email:

Message: Hi,

I was wondering if Atari is the new Publisher of Developer Ninja Theory.
I hope you can give me some information on it.

- Wanda

Their response:

Good afternoon Wanda,

Unfortunately there is no news on Atari releasing Ninja Theory :(

Kind regards

Atari CS team

Not sure exactly what to think if this. Does the employee think NT is a videogame? Why is he using a sadface at the end of his sentence?

In an interview with Nitin Sawhney at website dv247.com, he was asked what kinda projects he’s working on at the moment.

Behold his answer:

I’m working on quite a few film scores, I’ve actually got five on the go right now, working on a computer game which unfortunately I’m not allowed to talk about.

Capcom to unveil new Xbox 360 title

Posted under Ninja Theory by ninjawanda on Thursday 19 February 2009 at 15:11

EEK!!

Mystery title to be shown on Xbox Live next week.

Capcom offered up a variation on the recent teaser site craze today with a notice about an upcoming game announcement. The company says that Xbox 360 owners will be able to connect to Xbox Live Marketplace on the night of the 23rd to download first footage of a new Xbox 360 title.

The company did not provide a hint as to the identity of the mystery title, so interested parties will have to power up their Xbox 360 on the 23rd for the official word.

We all know NT’s new game is multiplat but this article doesn’t say it’s 360 exclusive. So be sure to check out the marketplace on the 23rd.

Ninja Theory's new publisher [part 3]

Posted under Ninja Theory by ninjawanda on Tuesday 17 February 2009 at 00:54

Found something again. This is pretty old but still, thought I’d mention it anyway since it was posted around the same time as we came to know NT licensed the engine.

Sega Reups Unreal Licence for Secret Game.  May 28 2008

Tantalising. Sega just announced that they’ve signed a new Unreal Engine 3 licensing deal for an “unannounced, cross-platform game.”

“The great capabilities of Unreal Engine 3 make it possible for our developers to deliver incredible gaming experiences,” said Dave Cobb, Vice President of Development for SEGA of America, Inc. “Unreal Engine 3 provides superior power and flexibility enabling SEGA to bring original and exciting next-generation multi-platform titles.”

Lemme know if this secret game has already been reveiled.

John Williams?

Posted under Ninja Theory by ninjawanda on Monday 16 February 2009 at 15:53

Nope, John Williams didn’t work with Ninja Theory. A guy named Jonathan Williams was the conductor of the music. There’s no mention of John Williams in the credits that you can find in the back of the Heavenly Sword booklet.

Wait, what?

Posted under Ninja Theory by ninjawanda on Saturday 14 February 2009 at 23:52

John Williams, music composer of Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Indiana Jones etc working for Ninja Theory?

Probably not, but that would be fuckin’ awesome! CLICKY!

Ninja Theory's new publisher [part 2]

One more publisher to scratch of the list, Midway is bankrupt.

Midway bankrupt
Faced with $240 million debt deadline, the once-mighty Mortal Kombat maker files for Chapter 11 protection; Mortal Kombat vs. DC shipments near 2 million.

After months of slowly twisting in the financial wind, Midway Games has finally filed for bankruptcy. The Chicago-based publisher today submitted a petition in a federal bankruptcy court in Delaware to seek protection under Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code. The company blamed the move on last November’s “change in ownership,” when then-majority stockholder Sumner Redstone sold off his 87 percent stake in the company–valued at $30 million–for $100,000.  Read more
